Chitabe Lediba

All 5 spacious Meru-style tents are built on raised decks, from which outdoor showers offer panoramic views of the Delta.

Purpose

Chitabe Lediba’s commitment to the Wilderness Purpose includes providing financial and logistical support for a variety of projects ranging from research and monitoring programmes to education and social upliftment projects.

Wildlife

Chitabe Lediba is located in the Chitabe Concession, which covers 22 000 hectares of pristine Okavango Delta wilderness. This unique area harbours a massive variety of habitats within close proximity giving rise to a surprising diversity of species. The mix of Okavango and Kalahari makes for an excellent home for an abundant array of herbivores: giraffe, buffalo, red lechwe, tsessebe, impala and elephant, which in turn support the larger predators: lion, leopard, spotted hyaena, cheetah and wild dog.

Chitabe Lediba, in the Chitabe Concession, neighbours the Moremi Game Reserve in the south-eastern part of the Okavango Delta.

Its wide range of habitats makes for an equal diversity of wildlife sightings.

Chitabe Lediba is smaller than its sister camp, Chitabe, and is ideal for small groups or families. Views over the waterhole give ample opportunities to watch the daily animal traffic. Beyond the camp, Okavango and Kalahari landscapes meet to form rich habitats.
