Verney's Camp

Verney’s Camp is a nostalgic-style safari camp. The main camp area is flanked by 2 family tents and 8 double tents, which are tucked into the teak forest on an elevated platform that provides sweeping views over the pan and waterholes. Each tastefully appointed unit contains a luxury en-suite bedroom with modern bathroom with hot and cold water and flushing toilet, and patio deck and relaxation area.

Location

Situated in a remote southeastern part of the Hwange National Park, the camp is on a private concession that is not open to regular Park visitors.

Activities

From bird watching to taking an untamed walking safari under the care of a highly trained guide, there is always something to see and do.

VERNEY’S CAMP

Verney’s Camp is on a large open floodplain surrounded by mopane and teak forests in which Machaba Safaris’ tents are tucked.

Machaba Safaris combines the authenticity of the past, the comforts of today and a future-thinking eco-awareness. Their camps feature iconic canvas tents, cooling plunge pools and communal bars and dining areas and reading nooks.
